Music is the soul of language.
-Max Heindel

first off, just wanted to say congrats to ryanboy and rica and their new baby boy Riley who was born yesterday!! pics later. yay congratulations guys!!!!!!!!!

hahah so is it ghetto that i'm listening to drs' gangsta lean right now? ahaha. freaking jovan got me addicted to using seeqpod so i have all these random playlists that i listen to at work. drs goes under the old school playlist, and for some reason every time it comes on i just start bobbing my head. you know like when you hear dr. dre & snoop for g-thang? so yeah maybe not the most professional music to be listening to, umm since i am a professional. right. i'll switch it up to the 3j's later. awww it's playing 98 degrees because of you! hahah dude that was THE happy song sophomore year at uci. after a long day of classes, i'd open the door to cornell and race over to andree's stereo to blast this song. and it'd just make the day better=). ah the memories. love music!

so i have a bunch of picturesque moments to share. finally! totally lagged on uploading these. some random fun times to share:

me being baboys at work. hehe my coworker took us to this really good cupcake place..yum red velvet. excuse the blurriness, it was from my camera phone. soooooo good.

and now the creme de la creme of yummy goodness. these are the freaking best strawberry croissants EVER!

so good it'll make you drool just seeing them! haha i have proof:

ha, i'm such a mean ninang teasing him with these. poor weston totally wants to eat all the grownup food now. everytime he sees us eating he starts opening his mouth and pretending he's chewing with us also. man, when he saw those croissants he drooled like crazy! mmm i think i want to buy some tomorrow. yums.

this next one was one of those eye googling oh my gosh moments. while we were waiting for our flight to sac for the tahoe weekend we noticed this guy/girl at the bookstore across from our seats.

apologies for the small pic but i didn't have time to crop and zoom in and the smaller size doesn't do it justice. hehe do you see the person wearing the backpack? majority of us say it's a guy. just wearing like horsebackriding pants and boots. heheh. okay well it was funny at the airport.

UPDATE: fifi fixed it for me..gosh, didn't like my pic=P jk. thanks!

now for the bsg fans out there (UPDATE: another correction from lou. i orginally wrote bg fans. to which he quickly emailed and said it's bsg fans not bg fans). saw this at ikea. ikea must be fans too huh?

and for a scratching my head in confusion moment. did i miss something?

were they bought out? i know diedrichs locations got bought out by starbucks..seattle's best too? i guess it makes sense..they're both seattle based. oh nevermind just looked it up. seattle's best is a division of starbucks. geez monopoly!

and finally, the exploitation of my fifi. so thanks to cat, we got to go to the lb grand prix last friday. the expo had all those car booths and some random ones as well. they had the army, navy, coast card, marine booths-which all had fitness tests. well i saw the pullup bar at the marines booth and remembered lou said he won a t-shirt for doing a lot of pullups when the marines booth was at uci.

so yeah, me being the curious gf kept begging him to do it again bc i wanted to see=P. and mr. humble kept on saying how he hasn't worked out as much because he's been sick and could probably only do 8. so we kept watching other guys doing pullups to see how many you needed for a shirt. the most we saw was a guy doing 14 and he only got a lanyard. either way, i kept on asking and finally louie boy gave in=). and i got ready to snap away with the camera. duuuuude he's such a hustler!

hahah..he was up to 15 and i guess the marine said to get to 20 and he'd get a shirt. it was cool cuz the whole crowd started cheering for lou cuz we hadn't seen anyone get a shirt yet. heehee so here i am capturing pullup number 20. ouch i could feel the pain in those muscles..

heehee i was the proud gf that day. geez he's such a hustler. can only do 8. pshhh.

i have to say, last weekend was probably one of the best weekends i've had in a while. took friday off to relax from all the going ons as of late. good decision. the grand prix was awesome. man those cars are fast, on tv they look slower. but up close, man you blink and they're gone already. lou & i also watched planet bboy at the university theater. i think it brought back a lot of hs memories for him. good movie! hung out with friends..ate good food..watched the lakers win=)..just a great weekend in all. thanks fifi=)!

weston's baptism this weekend woohoo. hahah buffet and kings hawaiian dobash after..yuuuuuuum. originally we were suppose to eat at a thai restaurant afterwards but they had a small kitchen fire i think? so ate and jason just decided to do the chinese buffet. anyways the point? hahah the name of the thai restaurant was pookie's thai! hahahah. the end.

It's not your blue blood, your pedigree or your college degree. It's what you do with your life that counts.
-Millard Fuller

I have no idea why after every race, the week following I pig out on junk food and I don't work out. Okay so i do know why, I just ran a freaking race. I can eat/do whatever I want, shaddup! hahaha. So what is it I'm oinking on right now? Flamin' Hot FUNYUNS!!! I had no idea they started doing flamin' hots for funyuns. I just saw them at CVS on my break today so I felt the need to try them out. Not bad. First bite, still has that onion-y crunch, and then hotness. mmm yum. man i love me some flamin' hot foods. dude, i think my nose is starting to run too. i hate how my fingers start turning red though. i try to wipe them after every bite but it always happens. baboys man. baboys!

so, like danielle said we ran the great race of agoura, woohoo for the half marathon. as a kid i remember running the 1 mile race, heheh and having no idea where i was going just kept running on ahead. so gotta love the idea that now we have a half we can run in the hometown=).

okay so anyways, about the half. ummm yeah, my estimation on the uphill being from miles 5-8 was a bit off. we ended up running on the trails for miles 3-10. and every time we'd go up a hill, we're like hmm not so bad. when i looked at my watch i figured we were around mile 7, so after the inclines we had afterwards i'd tell danielle "okay i think that was the 700ft incline, we should be done." hahah yeah i was sooooo off on that one. we got over one incline and as we turned the corner danielle was all, "chris look up." dude i think my jaw dropped. up ahead as we're climbing upwards was this humungoid hill where the path just curves all windy and the people look like ants. everyone basically walked that part bc the path was kinda narrow and plus it was a nice little rest. but once you get to the top of that hill, the view was pretty awesome! then we ran again, got our knees sprayed by something similar to the salonpas spray..felt so good! and then it was all downhill/flat from there. once we got out of the trails we realized we just finished mile 10. not so bad.

hahah the funniest though had to be these other 2 girls in the race. during the trail run portion, the path gets kinda narrow so it's hard to pass up people in front of you. so there were times that if me & danielle saw any type of gap, we'd bum rush to get past those people. there were two girls (not running together) who it always seemed we were playing tag with because we'd pass each other then they'd pass us and it'd go back and forth. after we got out of the trails, danielle noticed one of the girls ahead. hehe and i guess during the run we had been thinking the same thing bc when she said, hey wanna pass her? i was like HECK YEAH! haha so we run by girl #1. then wayyyyy up ahead danielle notices the shirt of girl #2. haha dude you didn't even have to ask what to do next. we sprinted by her, and what's funny is i totally heard her grunt all loud as we passed her. haha. so yeah those were our race markers i guess? then it was a sprint to the finish. no pr, but 2:22 isn't too bad for not training consistently. man my farthest training run i did was 7 miles. sad huh? so let's hope next year i get it together. heehee. woohoo to the great race. y'all know you want to run it with us next year. c'mon voted the best post race afterparty for the past 5 years..ha, but don't know about this year=P.

spent the weekend in agoura after the race. got to hang out at danielle's new place afterwards, soooo nice! i love the view=). and hung out with the fambam for the rest of the weekend. geez my nephew is getting big. so cute, he can sit up on his own now! reminder: must post pics of weston. i attended this godparents class we're suppose to take since i'm going to be his ninang. haha, our team leader said it would be nice if when we see weston we do a little blessing everytime we see him, anything we wanted. haha so when we saw weston afterwards, charvy and my cousin jason were all like, weston expelliarmus, weston expecto patronus..and yadda yadda. hehe me? i did my own umm german blessing=P. bad bad i know, it was just for fun! okay fine, guess it was funnier when it happened.

ahhh hump day. that phrase still cracks me up.
