If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
-William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

so, i was trying to find out this one song that our tour manager played for us in amsterdam-"the bicycle song" by queen. hahah fitting song since lots of the dutch (amsterdam is dutch right? keep forgetting), use bikes as their way of getting around town. check, check it ouuuuuut:

anyways, so i couldn't find the song on imeem..but i did find "the bicycle song" by remington super 60! awesome song, just a feel good tone about it that i really got into. ha, for some reason when i first heard it i just had that cheesy visual of birds chirping, people skipping hand in hand, and everything was just happy. guess that's why i liked the song so much. totally recommend giving it a listen=P.

....continue post from 10/8/09....

okay going on..thought i'd have enough time to post last week but too much to finish up before the long weekend. so, hubs & i successfully attended 8 weddings this year, watching all of our good friends say "i do" =). so happy for all of the newlyweds. like i say in i think almost all of our wedding cards...marriage is AWESOME!

so this past friday we attended robert & meg's wedding up in clovis. where??? yeah, clovis. y'know by fresno? hahah jenn for some reason texted me to have fun in the bay area, ha didn't know fresno was the bay? we passed by delano (thought of my cousins and the big old crates of grapes they'd always give us whenever they visited & waved hi to flori's hometown), passed by tulare and thought of joe and waved, passed by lemoore and thought of my little break dancing cousins living there..well they're not so little anymore. and then thought, where the heck is clovis?!? finally saw the signs for the ca-41 and it said clovis/fresno.

got in around 1am friday morning and the groom was waiting up for us to do a little early pre-partying. man, they like their henny! lou and i brought up our bottle of XO that his bro & gf gave us for christmas. it's actually pretty smooth to take..ha, for the price of the bottle it better be! when we finished the bottle we moved to vsop the day for the wedding. ouch on the throat man, it's like taking vodka shots=/.

they had a pretty garden wedding. oh my, the ceremony was literally like 2 minutes!!!=P. haha we kept joking that the procession was longer than the whole ceremony. and we also heard good news the next day that meg is preggers!! congrats to the newlyweds and soon-to-be parents!

got back saturday night and caught up on the tv shows while grubbing on zankou chicken-yum! awww jim & pam's wedding was so cute. wasn't there another show/movie where they got married before the ceremony too? oh, just remembered..it was when marshall and lily got married on himym. aww the niagara falls was such a cool backdrop! *note to self: start planning niagara falls trip! i remember watching some show on the discovery channel saying that within 10 years the falls will be shrinking in size or something like that.

sunday we got to hang out with the newlywed carlos' and watch some football! boo on my fantasy players...need some new receivers man. then headed down to sd to watch jason mraz-y with the guerrero's. thanks again jenn & cesar for scoring the tickets! his concert was so happy, feel good like the bicycle song=P. aww and he even played some of his old songs like the at last/sleep all day mix, you & i, i'm yours, & lucky. loved his concert, so glad we got to see him playing with toca too..awesome together! i wonder if the 3js (jack, jason, john) would ever perform together? hehe i nicknamed them that bc they're all a bit similar, at least to me. and coinkydink that they all start with a "j." but yeah, that'd be something to hope for! oooh and happy 1 year anni to the karen & joes this past sunday.

and yay for the columbus holiday yesterday. was able to catch up on some much needed studying that i didn't do th-sun=/. geez, the test is less than 2 weeks away and i'm so behind. i don't want to get stressed out over it though bc everything will start getting too overwhelming. just breathe and concentrate.

whew long post. but it is a 2-day combo post from last week. just want to thank everyone for all the thoughts & prayers for our family that got flooded out of their homes in the p.i. last week. for those in the same situation, we can only hope for the best for our relatives overseas. so hard to imagine what they must be going through. please continue to keep them in your thoughts.

hello world! hahah i love that phrase. always reminds me of our 2nd year at uci when we had to take a c++ class. that's one of the few things i remember from that horrible book that i didn't understand! i suck at programming. luckily i married a programmer=P. he can help me fix this boring layout of mine.

geez it's been awhile hasn't it? over a year since my last post and man- i'm totally relating to it right now. still the same things going on. is that good or bad? hahah. feels like we've done so much this past year since i wrote that post, but those exact scenarios from a year ago still apply:

married for a year now = awesome

babies? = no, not yet..heheh ask me again next year.

do i still love cheese & salami? = heck yes! gimme some brie and rembrandt gouda, a side of apples, crackers, salami...and i'm putty in your hands.

wines? = mmm just enjoyed one from our italy trip last year. i miss san gimignano.slowly starting to appreciate the beers bc hubby always tries out some new ones. hahah the chocolate stouts aren't too shabby. though i'm a sucker and still like the shandy..yeah yeah, wasteful..but so darn good!

running? = as of late, no. haven't had an event since may. hoping to do the hb half in february though.

hubby turned the big 3-0 last month! = got to spend it in hawaii while we celebrated joe & cat's wedding ..good times.

still watching j-doramas? = of course! just finished watching nodame again...still in search for more as usual. they crack me up.

classical music = love it. i've added rachmaninoff's piano concerto no.2 to my list of favs with beethoven's moonlight sonata and gershwin's rhapsody in blue. though mozarts double piano sonata is whimsical and fun to listen to as well.

hahah see? still the same as last year. maybe learned and saw a few things here and there. what can i say, my 29th year on this earth has been fantabulous. hubby lou likes to call it "ending our 20's with a bang!" sounds good to me.

we've been so lucky and are truly thankful for all the blessings we've had this year.
traveling has been awesome! got to make up for all the traveling we missed while saving up for the wedding last year=P. we've had new additions to the family (nephews wyatt & ryder and niece amela. and we're looking forward to the new additions to come from our cousins and friends. a lot of our friends got married this year - we've got our 8th wedding coming up next week. i think i keep saying it, but it's so true...marriage is truly awesome=). and we've gotten to decorate our house. yay so fun!

so why am i blogging again? i dunno. i was so busy with wedding stuff last year that i never really had time to blog..then after the wedding i got all into researching for our travels that were coming up. then facebook popped up..and well i got sucked into that world! hehe. but to be honest. i do miss my blogging. i haven't written in my journal as often as i used to, so blogging helped me fill in the gaps of what's been going on in my life. it was fun reading my last few posts. let's hope i can keep this thing going again.

oooh i've gotten into yelping this past year as well. i've always turned to yelp in the past to help me with some good finds. figured i might as well return the favor for my fellow yelpers. i haven't written as many reviews as i'd like though. i always take pics of the restaurants we eat at..hahah but i've yet to post them and write about it. slowly but surely i'll get there.

alright...going to try to figure out this new template of mine. back to the blogging world for me=)
