There is nothing so easy to learn as experience and nothing so hard to apply.
-Josh Billings

woohoo it's time to get some relaxation in! it's over, ha for now at least. let's just hope for the best and leave it at that=P

y'know, it's really hard sometimes to have parents who are so set on their own opinions that they fail to realize the seriousness of their actions. my parents are the cynical type when it comes to doctors. if they could, they'd opt for the choice to never have to go to the doctor at all. it's really sad because there's so many things that could have been prevented if they just listened/went. but no, what they believe to be true is the teachings they learned about home remedies back in the p.i. and granted, some of those funky ideas they tell us on how to get rid of something or how to feel better do work. but there are times when they need to really understand that medicinal practices these days are waaaay different from what they used to be when they were growing up.

it's so difficult trying to explain this to them. to my parents, the doctors and all the medicine they prescribe to us is just a way for them to make money. and while sometimes i do agree that it's just the man's way of cheating his way in the system. ha like when the doc prescribes a generic brand of robitussin to make me feel better when i knew i should've just done that in the beginning=P. there are those other times where the doctor is RIGHT! gosh, dangit freaking listen to what they're saying and don't try to second guess it and play down the seriousness of the issue. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh frustrating trying to get them to understand.

anyways. hope everyone had a great happy tommyween..haha i mean halloween=). last night was fun. good food (thanks chef cat and sous chef joes!), good laughs (camo/blazer/work/usc/chi-town/zooyork/lounging/rvca tommy costumes are the best! hahaha and so are toothpaste eyebrows??!), and yummy take 5..mmmm..too bad we all have to come in to work today. boo felt like a friday last night. so looking forward to the weekend. not as relaxing as i'd have liked to after last weekend draining all my energy. but no complaints here. have a wedding and some birthdays to celebrate=)

finally my slobby self was able to run on tuesday. and today? get to hit the gym. need to get to work man! i really want to sign up for a half, but i'm not sure if i should be spending the $$ on it right now..hmmm decisions. i miss races, zey are fun.

You must never feel badly for making mistakes," explained Reason quietly, "as long as you take the trouble to learn from them. For you often learn more by being wrong for the right reasons than you do by being right for the wrong reasons.
-Norton Juster

man, i love korean bbq! so freaking good every time i eat it (okay almost, there are those places that i've been to where it doesn't quite taste as great. stupid false advertising!!). if you're ever in the downtown area and are craving for some korean bbq or don't know where to eat-well, i shall steer you into the right direction my friend! can never go wrong with that place=). not to mention the little chewy candies they give to you afterwards, a plus in by book! ha.

woohoo it's friday. boo-hoo that i'm feeling a bit sick right now. i started feeling really sleepy last night at like 730pm. not a good sign, so i took some tylenol (my new alternative to airborne- i think i became dependent on it. once i stopped taking it, man i got sick ALL the time!). anyways, i took tylenol last night and this morning. let's hope with some good sleep tonight that i can prevent the sick bug from spreading. i can't get sick this week, out of all the weeks..this is one of the worst times to get sick!

man the past 3 weeks at work have been bzzzzzy. yup, that much. oh well i guess it kinda makes the weeks go by faster when i forget what time it is. can't believe november is already creeping up on us. yay, so begins the holiday months! nov-january seem to fly by because of the holidays. everything's passing by so quickly these days, it's a trip i tell yah.

i miss running. haven't ran in like 2 or 3 weeks. so much going on lately that i haven't worked out in so long=(. man i feel like a slob too! it's such a good feeling though to take that morning run or having a good workout. i like that "i feel good now" feeling. haha. well after next week things should start going back to normal! ha, as long as fifi doesn't go all tyrant with these crazy workouts for me to do!=P

okily dokily, y'all have a great weekend now.

ayeeee, 9 more more months away=P

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
-Dale Carnegie

hmmm i think i like his quotes..i was reading a whole list of them and they're those get your ass up and get motivated type...ha, just what i need right now=P.

anyways onto some exciting news...tun tunna nahhhh..
Congratulations you two!

awww true love..eating danger dogs after a kings game.

hahhaha okay a nicer pic=)

awww now isn't he such a cutie patoots??? man he's getting heavy=P.

you know..i've been listening to my i-shuffle lately at work opposed to my media player on my computer..i think mainly cuz i keep forgetting to put in new songs. anyways..my point. music makes the world go round=). making the working environment such a nicer place cuz i can just listen to some good vibes all day long! haha kinda like that one commercial where that guy is eating his cereal and is munching so loud and is so engrossed in enjoying his food that he has no idea what his boss is saying to him. hahah funny.

man the mornings are sooo dark now. well for those of you who are up at 5am too you agree right? i guess this is when daylights savings should've taken into effect? but now it's like after halloween right? all so that the big corps. can make their money during halloween candy sales..nice eh?

arghhhhhhhh i can't wait for the next sunday. i'll be tired as heck after friday/saturday..but it'll be over..again. booo stupid stupid..i'm such a procrastinator. why is that? why do i feel the need to have that adrenaline rush to keep me going? whereas if i just managed my time better i wouldn't be so stressed out? ahhh, but what would be the fun in that? blehhhh, then again..this is never fun to begin with.

yay for mondays...

What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.
-T.S. Eliot

dang i miss these girls!!! 127 cornell/151 oxford=)

i really need to fix my camera lens. i doubt it'll happen anytime soon because we have to save up for wedding stuff and all. but i really miss taking pictures with my camera. at least i have lou's camera to use, but still..not the same. ha, such a brat i am=P

i'm really sleepy today. i feel yuck..think i need more rest. haven't been having the best sleeping schedule lately cuz of all the things going on. at least this weekend seems to be more chillaxin' type. woohoo, finally!

i think it's so funny how lou's got me all into the colts and watching football games. i've been watching his team with him for 6 years now and i get all competitive when they play. now, if only i can get him to enjoy watching the reality shows and all the romantical comedies that i like..that'd be awesome..hinthint=P

oh how i miss the simple days. where art thou?

You have brains in your head,
you have feet in your shoes
you can steer yourself
in any direction you choose.
-Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss)

man, working out with weights when you have a run coming up es no bueno. i haven't lifted weights for awhile and man i'm freaking sore all over! i used to be able to do squats and bench presses..no problem. now i feel like a little weakling getting sore so easily=/. geez i can't believe i used to log in all those workouts fifi had me do. cuh-ray-zee!

so i've been having to go out in the field a lot lately since my other co-worker left. i guess it's not so bad. the drives out to the south bay are actually quite relaxing (hehe assuming it's not yucky traffic on the way home). but still, i've noticed that i do enjoy the quiet drives. gives me some time to reflect and think about my life sometimes. so it's a nice retreat from work i guess.

we were all talking this weekend how we'd love to finally have a nice quiet, vegging out, lazy weekend! weekends have been so hectic with babies and weddings and appointments and work that i'm soooo looking forward to a nice peaceful weekend sometime soon! when it happens i'll be one happy camper=). i do love being around my familia and friends..but man, you know those days where you just want to be all bummy, those are the best!

can you believe it's mid-september already? they said time would go by fast, man they weren't kidding! ate & jason are going to have their baby soon. woohoo, can't wait! dude i can't believe she can pop at any moment now..haha fatso's having a baby=).

okay boring i know...anyways just want to say congrats to chris and iya!!! hope you guys are having a blast in italy!!

Some people grumble because roses have thorns; I am thankful that the thorns have roses.
-Alphansse Karr

yay i love holiday weeks..feels like the week flew by this time..hehe considering it was fifi's birthday week, it's been a nice one too! just want to thank everyone who helped out and who came out to lou's birthday! y'all are awesome and we are so thankful to have such great people in our lives=). hahah too bad i forgot to have us all yell "SURPRISE" when the birthday boy walked in. ha, i was too caught up in trying to get the camera ready that i think we were more surprised that he was already there..haha oops. oh well. i know louie boy had a blast and that's what counts!! gotta post pics of that night..hahah high-larious!

have i said yet how much i can't stand stupid people? yeah i'm sure i have. i can't believe there's freaking drama at work. i'd like to stay switzerland on the issues. but man, some people are just so freaking retarded. stop being so two-faced and faaaaaaaaaake. sucks to have such a crappy environment here these days. but i guess we just have to be thick-skinned about it right? just let the idiot comments roll off you and forget about the day once you walk out the office door. it's what keeps me sane these days=/. don't need work to follow me home when i already have so many other things going on. blahhhhh.

man, so the new whole foods opened up by us. that place is like disneyland but all food! it was crazy on the grand opening day. but mmm so many foods to taste, ahhh and so many new wines to try out. i picked up a lambrusco this week, let's see if it's comparable to the one at tj's=). i want to try out their wine tasting/food pairing thing they have going on. i'm sure fifi's gonna want to get in on the beer tasting as well. such a fun store, i'd get so lost in all the food.

sometimes i wonder if i've accomplished all that i've set out for. i'm happy with everything i've been able to do so far, but i feel like there's so much more out there that i have yet to experience/see/explore. you'd think that at 27..almost 28...that i'd be content with my life. don't get me wrong, i'm proud of all that's happened and what i've been able to experience. but i just feel like i should be doing more. not even sure if that makes any sense. must be those 20-something issues of life i guess. i think i must get like this everytime my birthday starts creeping up. reflect on the past year and think about things that have taken place and what i'd like to do the following year. but anyways, i am thankful for everything and everyone that i have in my life right now. so i'll stop. ha, for now=P.
