it's wednesday..listening to track 4 "hold me" on weezer's new album..the beat just relaxes the mind..and of course..i begin to reminisce about the wonderful time i have just spent in the beautiful country of costa rica all last week with boyfriend and 3 good friends..i'm sure joemama and ryan's pics & blogs summed up a lot of what we did. hehe but that's not all of them..me & lou still need to combine our pics and there'll be like 800 more to look at..muahahhah..hopefully we finish it up over the weekend (lou wants to caption all the pics, so yah, uhh might take a while).

aww the sun's setting at playa espadilla in manuel antonio..haha we almost missed our shuttle back to the hotel cuz we wanted to take sunset pics!

so here's some of the highlights i'd like to remember about the trip:

-thinking that i'd be sad to be the only girl going..only to find out these 4 guys are freaking fun to hang out with..even though i was the lonely girl jumping into the mawamba lodge pool all by my lonesome self=)..i was the one who had to zoom in and film all the hot chicks! or zoom in and take their pics..hahah..that i was the weak sauce in getting crunk..man..that dang don julio..he done did me in with those margaritas! but mmm mmm mmm they were tasty!

-seeing jefe get teased like crazy by joe & ryan..all in good fun!

-all of us picking up joe's lingo.."no, YOU pick up joe's lingo!"..hahha grrrreat

-zip lining down the rain forest and looking below to see the river flowing and the rainforest...dude, how picturesque man..sooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful!

-having to explain to jorge, "no es chino, no es japonesa! estamos filipino" haha

-man, so troublesome alwasy getting mixed up with stupid ryan's cousins..as joe explained..yes they were freaking annoying!

-as we left costa rica and passed above the clouds..seeing the sunset and all the colors that reflected onto the sky..breathtaking.

-watching lou take advantage of the free open bar on the plane and drinking 2 beers on the way back to l.a....to "help him sleep" of course..hehe

-seeng the arenal volcano erupt a bit and watching the lava spurting during our last night at tabacon hot springs..while we were all chilling by the poolside bar eating dinner.

-hearing jeff bellyflop into the pool..only to find out from the others that he was attempting to dive..hahha..man, they couldn't stop laughing..

-learning that their happy hour 2 for 1's means..you order one..we bring you 2! ha, too bad i couldn't finish my second margarita..man, that thing was gooooood too!

-realizing that i should have sprayed myself with deet our last day at manuel antonio..i was too busy video taping the white faced monkeys that i didn't notice the dang mosquitos biting me=(..ended up with 5 bites around my tummy area=(

-double boo was getting a rash on my arms..not that bad..but me & joe thought it was due to the humidity..but i looked it up online when we got back..i think i was bit by a chigger joe!..yes i know that bug sounds racist..lou made a bad reference to it..i'm sure you guys can figure it out=P..but yah..you know how our arm hairs were twisted weird that one day? that's how i think it's a chigger bite, they try to stick to your socks or hairs and they spit out/well vomit..onto you and that's what made our hairs all stuck together..(at least that's what i think..hehehe me trying to self diagnose)...gross i know..but at least the rash is gone..the bumps are our body's way of fighting off the bite=)..hahha yah that was the main yuck part of the trip..the bites..but it didn't get in the way of the fun!!

-rafting at the rio naranjo river at manuel antonio..and even though we were all beginners we rafted in a class III-IV..heheh..and we had a cool instructor, michael..pura pilsen!

-ummm while rafting me & lou fell out..kinda scary cuz i got trapped under our raft and i felt like i was in the water forever..gave me a scary chlostrophobic (sp?) feeling...so yah that was my moment of panicking..after i relaxed a bit..i was able to get pulled in by lou..yay boyfriend saved me=)

-hahah learning what "mmmm smells like barbeque" really meant!

-falling in love with gallo pinto..mmm who wouldn've known that you could eat rice & beans morning, noon & night and they'd still taste good?

-me & joe in our own personal blair witch style video at mawamba..except umm..we were in search of butterflies..haha..but dude..when the sun's setting and your under these trees that block the sunlight..and you hear all these bug noises..and butterflies the size of birds flying by you..you'd be scared too!..uhhh right?=P

-learning that i need to brush up on my spanish skills.

-relaxing at playa espadilla/playa manuel antonio/playa biesanz

-just taking in all the greenery and nature at its fullest..i still can't believe we were there.

-good times..always.

..i'm sure there's more..and i'm sure i'll blog about it again..haha..just got to wait for the pics now..*sigh*..i can't wait to go back though...after japan and europe of course=)

anyways..on a sad note..we did come home to bad news though..the night we went back to lou's house all his family from the bay were down..lou's uncle had passed away and no one wanted to tell us while we were on vacation because they didn't want us to be sad..so the past few day up until yesterday were a bit hectic..my prayers to lou's familia..especially to auntie ansing. rest in peace uncle junior.
