Beware the fury of a patient man.
-John Dryden

alright..so i've always considered myself a patient person..yes yes there are those times where i get annoyed when i'm at a restaurant and they seat us like over an hour later or just give us crappy service..and my patient self seems to disappear and turn into this complaining monster=P..but back to my point..so these past 2 days i've been swarmed with questions from my parents about how to attach a document to an email, how to add a bcc, how to download the attachment..where does it go??...basically the "how to" basics of emailing..and also the basics of using excel...now in the beginning i didn't mind..i was like oh okay, good they want to learn..but man..after like an hour of dealing with it at work with my dad, over the phone at work with my mom..after work when i get home..you know i can only deal with so much...i start thinking..man, it's so simple..how come you keep asking the same question?..and to make it a bit funny for me..i don't think they really trust the whole internet thing altogether..my mom was sending an email to my dad and he was like, make sure you send it twice and to both of my email addresses..and save it onto my floppy disc as well..ha!..funny...always better to be safe then sorry i guess...

so yah, i'm in my little sister's room (who also had the task of helping my mom learn excel..but weaseled out of it by telling my mom to read the tutorials and left to stay at my older sister's place...the weasel!=P)...so yah i'm in the other room..and i swear i was called to help my mom like every 5 minutes..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...and at work..my dad would call me over to his cubicle...i'd help him attach the document and mail it to my mom..walk to my cube..then my mom would call on how to open the email my dad just sent...arghh..alright i know it sounds petty..but 2 days of it started making me kookoo...then i started thinking..man, i'm being retarded and mean..i'm sure my parents needed a lot of patience when we were little kids growing up and learning..i dunno..i guess it's just weird how i have to teach my parents now..and it's with things i thought were so simple to learn..we must be spoiled these days...

my mom would talk out loud while she was typing the email..and be like.."oh, the email address just shows up" (you know your address book names..type in the first few letters and it finds the email you were going to type)..haha and she was like, "oh nevermind, i'll just type it all in MANUALLY"...even the document she was attaching..she didn't trust it..so she said..i'll just type it all MANUALLY into the email...it was so frustrating..i was like..mom, what's the point in attaching it then if you're still typing it into the email? and she got all mad at me..hahah...saying oh just let me do it my way....so it's your typical clash of the generations i guess. sorry long vent.

on a brighter note..went to my cousin's bridal shower...awww i can't believe they're getting married next month! so happy for them!..also, had dinner with chris, gail & kirun and found out that chris is getting married! woohoo congratulations to him and trish also=)..and best of all..we found the best tiramisu ever!! Magianno's..mmmm that tiramisu was yum-o! and i used to not really dig tiramisu cuz some places make it really strong with the liqueur that it takes away all the chocolate/coffee flavor..but mmmm this one was oh so yum! good choice..and duuuuude we did the family style menu...sooooooooooooo much food! i swear we probably took home all the food we ordered...haha except the tiramisu and their dessert of the night..alright no more food talk..i'm drooling=P
