hmm okay so i have this dilemma at work right?...i have this co-worker, let's call him "c.w.1", who just started working here about 4-5 months ago..and for some reason..some of my other co-workers have come to the conclusion that he might like me..tun tun tuuuun..yah lou knows and he's volunteered to chop off his manhood..haha but i told him i could handle it in a less violent way=P..so anyways..this is how it all started:

scenario 1) i was out in the field with c.w. 1 & c.w. 2. While c.w. 2 & I were having friendly arguments about the lakers and our cars, out of nowhere c.w. 1 says to me, "...aww stop talking like that or else i'm going to start falling for you."...umm so yah there was a moment of awkward silence and then c.w.2 & I continued our conversation as if maybe we heard c.w. 1 wrong.

scenario 2) that day after the field c.w.1 tells c.w.2 that he can't go out in the field with us anymore because he might start falling for me..uhhh great..(but c.w.1 doesn't know that c.w. 2 told me this)

so as usual..i just pretend nothing has happened and figure that he knows about lou, he's met lou..so it's nothing..plus i try to rationalize that he is an only child and he doesn't really have that much family (it's just him and his mom), so maybe he sees (sp?) me in like an older sister light? makes sense wouldn't it? well at least i thought so..

scenario 3) so while another co-worker of mine (c.w.3) and c.w. 1 were having a conversation about relationships, somehow the subject of liking someone who's already taken came up. i guess the last 2 people c.w. 1 liked already had boyfriends and plus they were his co-workers also at his old job..so c.w.3, in an effort to help me, haha!..tries to explain to c.w. 1 that liking co-workers, especially co-workers who are already taken, is NOT A GOOD IDEA. and i know she said it bluntly to get it through to him. and of course he replies with a "yah i know" type of deal.

so okay, now i think..for sure he has to get it by now..he is just my co-worker nothing else!..i have a boyfriend..stay away!..right?

scenario 4) i guess he's gotten comfortable with me again because he asked me to go out in the field with him..so i say okay, since he is fairly new to the job and i should explain some of the things we do out in the field to him. and plus i figure..it's been about 3 months since that first incident and so things should be back to normal. well, the next 2 times he asked me to go to the field, c.w. 3 also asked to come along to do her field checks with us as well..i don't mind so i say okay and so does c.w.1..then at the last minute i wasn't able to go, so i tell c.w.3 to just tell c.w.1 she'll just go with him..and these last two times he decides that either he'll do her field checks for her and go out by himself, or that he'd just wait until later to do his field checks...so yah, that makes no sense to any of us and c.w. 3 has come to the conclusion that he just wants to go out in the field with me.

..blehhhhhh..by now it's starting to get to me..i mean..helloooooo...we're just doing work, you can go out in the field with anyone!!

scenario 5) c.w. 1 got transferred to another section about a month ago..so he should have moved to the other building already...but for some reason he's been lagging right?..and so there's times where i have to go to the other building and do some work there...and lo and behold..my co-workers in the other section notice that c.w.1 only goes to the other building to move his stuff on the days i'm there...

and the last scenario,

scenario 6) my boss told me that while she and c.w. 1 were out in the field, somehow my name came up in the conversation. and c.w. 1 kept saying how much me and him have in common and that we think alike...

uhhh..no..i don't think so!..with the little time that i've known c.w.1, the only time i could see that he'd say something like this was because of what happened in scenario 1!..but hel-looooooo, there are a billion lakers fans who discuss games and a billion toyota owners!!..wtf is he thinking?..so yah..now people are saying that i should say something to him..cuz even though he knows i have a bf..he may be thinking that somehow something could happen?..ewww i don't even want to think about that..gross!!..i mean dude..i'm your freakin co-worker!!..so yah, my dilemma is that..should i say something or no?..cuz he is moving down to the other building so i won't interact with him as much..so maybe it would all just go back to normal?..and he is a really sensitive/stressful guy..and i know he would take it so personal if i said something..but how else would i get through to him..hmm so do i talk to him or hope for a second time that it will go away once he's moved?...

well yah..that's my story and instead of thinking about it anymore i'll just look forward to the fact that there's only 30 more mins til the weekend!!!..yeeha woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
