we're heading out to vegas tonight to celebrate my younger sister finally turning 21 this past valentine's day. man it is going to be cuh-ray-zzz out there with the all star game going on. kinda sucks because we were planning on going to tao since my brother in law had the hook up there, but then we found out that jay-z rented out the club for a private party on saturday. boo on that. oh well, now what to do. i guess you can never get tired of roaming the strip right? haha i should introduce her to my buddy o'shea=).
speaking of valentine's, boyfriend cooked the bestest most yummiest dinner ever=). am i being biased? haha, maybe just a little. but for reals, he did such a good job cooking and i was really impressed. he said i could pick anything i wanted so i said for sure i wanted calamari and some chocolate dessert. hehe which i narrowed down to chocolate dobash or chocolate covered strawberries. so he chose to make the latter for dessert=P. our menu went something like this:
calamari w/ aioli sauce
filet mignon served with rice pilaf and veggies
chocolate covered strawberries
bottle of cabernet/syrah.
mmmmmmmmm, i was such the baboy with the calamari that i could barely finish my steak. everything just turned out perfect. well with the exception that lou had to go to 4 supermarkets to find strawberries bc they had some shortage due to some ice freeze thingy that hit the strawberry plants. but he came through and it was all so yum-o!! so yeah, thank you boyfriend for such a fantabulous valentine's dinner. woohoo doesn't it make you want to cook even more now?..hahah yah right=P
ayeeeeeeeee i'm so sore. we got to skip a workout and have a rest day on wednesday bc it was vday and boyfriend needed time to prepare and cook..hehe i love rest days! but yesterday i paid for it. blehhhh the workout was so tiring. it doesn't sound like much, but man i was huffing and puffing during all my situps. pure torture..ahhh better pay off!
