I used to be disgusted; now I try to be amused.

i've been having these peeves at work for the longest time. i think it's high time i expressed them don't ya think? i work in a professional environment where there's like a 10:1 guy to girl ratio. so I'd like to think that the women here have good hygeine standards. *sigh* if that were only true. on multiple occasions each week i get to experience one, some, or all of the following:
1. someone's pee on the seat. umm really? this ain't no night club or bar! how hard is it to get it in the toilet bowl while you're sober?
2. partial toilet seat cover stuck to the seat w/ some wet spots. gross. really? i can understand i guess if you're using your tabo and the water spills on the seat. but c'mon, you can take some tp or use another seat cover to wipe it off can't you?
3. someone's #2 not fully flushed down the first time. please, please...if you're taking a #2 be sure your dumps have all been flushed down the toilet please! if plucky can do it, you can too!
4. a used feminine pad popping out of the sanitary garbage can that's in the stall. REALLY??? how gross can you be? wrap that ish up nicely and then throw it away. it's bad enough that the sanitary trash is on the side of the stall and i have to see junk popping out..but i really don't wanna see bloody junk! tmi i know=/
5. it's called a courtesy flush. it helps to keep the bathroom from smelling and with the whooshing noises we don't have to hear the sharts, the farts, the grunts. yup, it's not just men...some women grunt while they take dumps too. i'm sure guys would love to know that fact. ha.
6. there's 4 stalls in the bathroom and the one on the end is being used - why oh why must you go in the stall right next to me? i don't understand. isn't it etiquette to at least go every other stall? c'mon now!
7. food debris all up in the sink. seriously? this isn't the kitchen sink. yeah sure gargle & brush your teeth..but rinse it out or pick up your food debris. it's gross!
hmm i think those are my main peeves. i'm sure there are a few more, but those are the ones that i seem to happen upon the most. it's kind of sad really. i mean, i can expect this from a gas station, amusement park, a bar/club, a fast food joint. but the work environment? haha we're all professionals aren't we? can't we have some professional manners in the restroom too? please? is it too much to ask? ha, maybe. so, so sad.
happy birthday seester (yesterday=P) and happy belated valentine's day! waiting for 2/24 when hubby and i get to celebrate our own vday. hehe we decided to make our engagement date our new vday. it makes it a more meaningful celebration and we don't have to deal with all the craziness that goes on on the 14th! yay can't wait!
so i did a bit better w/ studying, though i wish i got in a few more workouts. oh well, can't have it both ways right now.
LOG:
Thursday, 2/10 - ran 1.5 miles. first time running since the ankle sprain. i could feel the stiffness in my leg. and my breathing is totally off=(. i missed running. so despite being chicken about my ankle, i sucked it up and did the short run. worth it! i need to make it consistent now w/ the swim & bike workouts so that my ankle can get used to running again.
Saturday, 2/12 - study 4.5 hrs
Monday, 2/14 - study, 2 hrs
