ahhh things have slowed down a bit so it's time for a little storytelling. it all happened last saturday. enter curtain scene with *doodadoo**doodadoo* noises a la wayne's world.

i had to wake up early to go into work that day and then head over to san gabriel to work on wedding stuff with cici and her bridal party. while i was there lou was going to cerritos to help install his parents direct tv. a pretty typical day right? ha, that's what i though=P.

i got out of work about an hour earlier than planned and was debating on going home to take a nap because i was freaking tired. but it'd be such a waste to drive home if i was already in downtown and only 15 minutes away from san gabriel. so i called lou to tell him that i got out of work early and was thinking of either coming home to take a nap or going to tinz's or cicely's to crash for a little. then i figure i'll just run some errands around the area real quick instead. ha totally opposite of resting right? so lou just listens to me debating what to do and then asks what time i should be done w/ wedding stuff. so i tell him i'll probably be home around 5 because my cousins were in town and wanted to hang out.

i do my errand shopping then head over to san gabriel for some wedding preparations for cici & jay. instead of leaving san gabriel around 430, i ended up leaving a little past 7. hehe oops. when i get into my car i notice 3 missed calls from lou at 445, 5 and 645pm. i left my purse in cicely's room so i never heard my phone ring. sorry! so i call lou and let him know that i stayed a little later because we ran into a few obstacles in the wedding stuff and i didn't want to go yet until i was satisified w/ how much was done. so being the understanding boyfriend he says:

lou: okay but hurry and come home i'm hungry.
me: yeah i'm hungry too. (and super duper tired!!!)
lou: let's go out to eat tonight!
me: really? (i cooked leftovers the night before and normally we just eat those the next day. haha but who am i to turn down a night out to dinner=P)
lou: yeah sure.
me: okay, what're you doing?
lou: just watching tv, okay come home now!

haha, so i go as fast as one could drive during traffic on the 5 south. boo on that freeway. to which boyfriend calls again:

lou: how come you're taking so long?
me: boooooooo there's traffic on the 5, you said there wouldn't be traffic!
lou: aww, sorry. okay i'll see you soon then.

so i finally get through stupid cerritos traffic by the 5 and call lou.

me: okay i just passed the 55, i should be home in about 5 minutes. want me to just park in front and call you when i get there?
lou: no, just park in the garage like we usually do.
me: umm, okay. (but still totally clueless to everything going on)

i open the garage door expecting to hear either anime or xbox noises blaring from the tv. instead i'm welcomed with darkness and no noise. haha, i'm all excited now too because i got this free sample from the store (similar to those biore pore strips) and i wanted to show it to lou. so i figure oh he's probably on the computer then. so i go upstairs and open the bedroom door, just to peep my head in because i wanna sneak up on him (hehe for some reason i always like scaring him and sneaking up on him, but not vice versa=P). and this is what i find:

1) the lights are all dark, which is normal to me because usually i'll find him watching prison break or arrested development or ms. beni like that..haha. except this time...

2) lou's not in his chair, and i see one of my favorite pics of me & lou on his computer screen.


3) i hear one of the songs by surface playing. i want to say "shower me with your love" but my mind started racing that right now i'm not for sure..boo=/. okay so i'm wondering, uhhh is this like a continuation of valentine's day?

4) then i notice the candle on his desk. i keep panning my head to the left and notice candles on the bookshelf, the nightstand, my dresser, the linen closet..then my field of vision is halted..

5) rewind..i look at the bed..it's all white sheets and on top there's something written out in red rose petals. i skim it really quick because at this point i'm getting really nervous, and see the word "marry". i scroll down some more and see the single red rose and a small blue box with a white ribbon.

(hehe i know, same pic from my previous blog..shhhh!)

and what do i do next? umm yeah..i gasp "oh sh*%!" and close the door. such a romantic response huh? so now i'm in the loft area saying "oh sh*%!" "oh sh*%!" and then i hear lou in the room say "hello??" so i start giggling..ahhh the nerves! and re-open the door. and there he is, all dressed up in his white button up shirt and tan slacks looking so emotional and so heartfelt, it's hard not to love this guy=). yet what do i do? yup, i'm still giggling. i give him a hug and his heart is beating soooooooooooooooo unbelievably fast!

he asks me to get the blue box and as i hand it to him he says to pull the white ribbon. as i pull it, the box unravels and there's a blue jewelry box inside. he gets on his knee and opens the box...ahhh and the prettiest ring is inside=).


i end up kneeling down in front of him because it just felt weird having to look down at him..heheh so as i'm still giggling he's talking. ha, i even remember him saying "why are you laughing, i'm so nervous right now?!"..ha sorry boyfriend..errr i mean feefee=P. and so he asks, and of course i say YES to him!!!!!!!!!


then i quickly ask:
me: oh wait, did you talk to my parents though?
lou: of course i did.
me: when?
lou: i went today (looking all proud of himself)
me: really? i thought you were going to cerritos!
lou: ha, that's what YOU thought, but i planned to go see your parents. i even had to leave agoura earlier and race back because when you called that you got out of work early i was scared you'd go home and see some of the stuff in the room.
me: man, i totally thought you were going to ask them this weekend (bc i'll be out of town)
lou: yeah, i figured you'd think that. and then you'd try to guess after that when i would ask you and try to figure everything out. so i had to do it before that! (heehee because i'm usually pretty good and figuring out lou's surprises=P)
me: hahah awww, smart boyfriend!

then he takes me into the hallway area where i see more candles, a bottle of one of my favorite wines w/ the glasses and a bubble bath full of bubbles and rose petals. to which he tells me that the bubble bath went cold because he had it ready since 5pm because that's when i told him i was coming home...awwwwww sorry! then we had to race to get ready because we had reservations for dinner at 830. at this point i'm soooo happy, yet i know i look extremely junky because i'm really tired. so to make me feel better, lou changes too because we're running of time for me to get ready=P. we end up leaving at 830, but luckily they still took our reservations.

and where did he take me? to Waters, the restaurant where he first asked me out on July 18th, 2001. and this will be the restaurant he took me to after he proposed on February 24th, 2007=). we were even seated at the same table we sat at the very first time. now boyfriend, ahhhh fiance!! won't admit whether it was a coincidence or if he planned that, but either way it was still such a wonderful night! i can't believe how well he surprised me! i'm so lucky and blessed to have you in my life. woohoo this is gonna be fun!! haha is that the right thing to say?
